What we collect and why
If you ask for the free template
We collect your email address so we can send you the download link, and later emails about the templates. Our legal basis is your consent. You can unsubscribe with the link in every email, and we stop straight away. The email list is run on Kit, which stores your email address for us and sends the messages.
If you buy templates
Payment is handled by Lemon Squeezy. They collect your name, email address, billing country and payment details. We receive your name, email address and what you bought, so we can send your files and help you. We never see your full card number. Our legal basis is to fulfil our contract with you. We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
If you email us
We keep your message and our reply so we can help you. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering you. We delete these emails when they are no longer needed.
When you visit this website
This website is hosted by Render. Like every web host, Render's servers may briefly record technical details such as your IP address to deliver the pages and keep the service secure. We set no cookies of our own and load no third-party fonts.
We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service, to count visits. It sets no cookies and does not identify you.
One page is different. The free template page loads the signup form from Kit, our email list provider, so your browser contacts Kit on that page. Apart from Umami, no other page on this website loads anything from another company.
On that page, the Kit form sets one cookie, called __cf_bm. It comes from Cloudflare, the company that hosts Kit's forms, and it helps protect the form from spam and abuse. It lasts about 30 minutes, does not track you, and is strictly necessary for the form to work, so it does not need your consent. It is the only cookie on this website.
Who else sees your data
Only the services named above, and only to do the job described. They act on our instructions.
Some of these services may store data outside the European Union. Where they do, they use safeguards the GDPR allows, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
- show you the personal data we hold about you
- correct it
- delete it
- limit how we use it, or stop using it
- give you a copy in a common format
Email hello@successionkit.com. We reply within one month, as the law requires. If you gave consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to a data protection authority: the one in the EU country where you live, where you work, or where you think the problem happened.
